Mumbai: Actor Anil Kapoor could not keep himself calm and congratulated the duo.
On Instagram story, Anil re-shared the Indian Olympic Association’s post and wrote, “Another win for India!! Congratulations!!”
India’s shooting star Manu Bhaker created history on Tuesday when she became the first Indian to win two medals at the same Olympics.
Bhaker and her partner Sarabjot Singh won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event. Earlier, Bhaker had won the bronze medal in the women’s individual 10m air pistol event.
President Draupadi Murmu congratulated Indian shooters Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for winning bronze medals for India.
In a post on X, president Draupadi Murmu said, “Congratulations to Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for winning the bronze medal for India in the mixed team 10m air pistol event for shooting! Manu Bhaker has created history, becoming the first Indian woman shooter to win two medals at the same Olympic Games. She has made us extremely proud. I wish her and Sarabjot Singh many more laurels in the future.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for their victory.
“Our shooters continue to make us proud! Congratulations to @realmanubhaker and Sarabjot Singh for winning the Bronze Medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event at the Olympics. Both have displayed great skill and teamwork. India is incredibly pleased,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
“This is the second consecutive Olympic medal for Manu, which reflects her consistent excellence and dedication. #Cheer4Bharat,” he wrote in the post.

Manu-Sarabjot defeated Lee Wonho and Oh Ye Jin of South Korea 16-10 in the bronze medal play-off match. With this medal, India’s medal tally at the Paris Olympics has increased to two. Both Bhaker and Sarabjot scored 10 points in a row in the series against the Korean players.
Celebrating the success, NRAI said, “India wins Bronze in the Mixed Team 10m Air Pistol. @realmanubhaker & @Sarabjotsingh30 beat Oh Ye Jin & Lee Won Ho of Korea 16-10 in the bronze medal bout. Manu’s 2nd medal at the Games. History!”
Earlier on Monday, Manu-Sarabjot had secured third position with a total of 580-20x marks.
