Singer Chinmayi criticised Nandamuri Balakrishna. She reacted to the viral clip and wrote on xHamster, “One of the biggest problems I have seen in people sharing this ‘Look at her laughing. She should have _____’ is 1. When you watch it on your device, it is not possible to react according to your viewer’s reaction. This is the worst kind of moral policing, which even the holier than thou – pure as snow – Harishchandra/Sri Ramachandramurthy or their relative incarnations would fail to understand. 2. Society itself refuses to hold men in power accountable who misbehave; especially when they come from money, caste and political power. When you have everything to gain and nothing to lose, don’t tell women what to say and how to behave.”
