Chef Vikas Khanna has penned a long note after actor Anne Hathaway recently visited his restaurant Bungalow in New York. Vikas Khanna shared a picture on Instagram with Anne and several others standing in front of his restaurant. She also told how her meeting with the actor had made her extremely emotional. Vikas shares picture with Anne, photoshops his late sister’s picture
In her post, she recalled how Anne’s film The Devil Wears Prada had acted as a “pain reliever” for her sister Radhika. He died on February 28, 2022, due to multiple organ failure after battling lupus for years. Vikas has also photoshopped his sister’s picture in the photo. Sharing the photo, Vikas captioned, “I still remember the day I had to delete all the Devil Wears Prada and Sex and the City files from my computer. I played them on loop while sitting on the hospital bed with my sister. “Saved for viewing.” ,
Vikas misses his Radhika
“I’ve lost count of how many times Radha, @sammahmood, and I watched those movies together. She absolutely loved @annehathaway and knew every single line of The Devil Wears Prada by heart. Those dialogues. The repetition brought him great joy – the happiest moment of all time. Somehow, seeing him laugh was the best pain reliever,” he added.
Vikas talks about Anne, thanks her
Vikas further added, “When the time came, I deleted every file and tried to forget those lines, because the memories were too much to bear. But tonight, when my lovely @anjula_acharia and @furhan_ahmad saw Anne at the bungalow. When I brought it in, everything came back. Every line, every laugh.”
“And somehow, I was so happy to feed her. Cooking and serving are the only ways I can express love and gratitude. Anne, thank you for giving her those moments of happiness – when we laughed and said ‘Everyone wants to be like us.’ ‘I photoshopped my Radha right next to her hero, I know she was with us tonight,” her note concluded.
