The much awaited trailer AnoraSean Baker’s Palme d’Or winning film is finally released, offering a first look at the wild and unconventional love story between a sex worker and the son of a Russian oligarch.
Anora It tells the story of its main character, played by Mickey Madison, an Uzbek-American stripper who often entertains Russian-speaking clients through her boss. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Vanya, played by Marc Edelstein, the wealthy young son of a Russian oligarch. Vanya hires Anora to be his girlfriend for a week, but what starts as a transaction soon turns into true love. Their whirlwind romance leads to an elopement, but their happiness is threatened when Vanya’s powerful parents discover their relationship.
It will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Anora There was a 7.5 minute standing ovation and widespread acclaim. The film eventually won the prestigious Palme d’Or for Best Film at the festival’s closing ceremony.

It’s helping to remove the stigma that’s been put on this livelihood.”
Anora It also features supporting actors such as Yuri Borisov, Karran Karagulyan, Vache Tovmasyan, Lindsay Normington, Ivy Volak, Luna Sofia Miranda, Elena Gurevich, Alexey Serebryakov, and Daria Ekamasova.
Distributed by Neon, Anora This film will be released in theatres on 18th October.
