Mumbai: Anupam Kher’s upcoming direction ‘Tanvi The Great’ is creating a discussion in the entertainment industry due to his global premiere in the Cannes Film Festival, New York, Houston and Austin.
After the film’s trailer release, Anupam Kher expressed happiness over the audience’s response, stating that the film promotes awareness for “autism” and taps into “goodness” in humans.
‘Tanvi the Great’ follows the story of an autistic girl, which tries to join the Indian Army according to the trailer. In this, Shubhangi Dutt is shown for the first time in the lead role. Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi and Karan Tacker play lead roles in the film.
In an interview with Annie, Anupam Kher shared that ‘Tanvi the Great’ is not only a heart -wrenching story of a girl who wishes to join the Indian Army, but is a way to ignite goodness in humans, which often gets lost in this fast -moving world.
“We all believe in goodness. And life has brought us to this stage. Time has brought us to this stage. The situation has brought us to the stage that we have stopped believing in goodness. He described ‘Tanvi the Great’ as “Film from India for the world”.
“A girl who is autistic, has decided something. Now we are really vested for her. That’s why the response we have received from outside means the problem is universal. That’s why I always say, this is a film in India, for the world, for the world,” Anupam Kher said.
The film also increases awareness about autism.
“Jackie said a very good thing, that it is about awareness. Awareness with these films can increase. It is not that society does not want to do anything bad. I think no human is bad from within. But you need to tap goodness in every human being.
As the first film Shubangi Dutt, the actress said that the film like ‘Tanvi The Great’ was never in her bucket list. He expected a more commercial Bollywood drama.
