Anupam Kher reveals why he initially rejected Manmohan Singh’s role The Accidental Prime Minister

Anupam Kher, who played the role of Dr. Manmohan Singh in the film The Accidental Prime Minister, Gave an emotional tribute to the former PM on his Instagram feed.

Anupam Kher shared a long video message, in which he expressed his views about Dr. Manmohan Singh, a person and leader. He also told how he prepared himself for this character.

Mr Kher described Dr Singh as “gentle, bright, brilliant and kind”.

He said, “I met him twice at events. He always praised my work. He was an honest person, a great leader, a wonderful person.”

Anupam Kher also revealed that he initially rejected it The Accidental Prime Minister For “various” reasons (including political reasons). At the same time, the film veteran felt that it was one of those films where he played the character “truthfully”.

“He was naturally a good human being. Completely honest personally, great economist and a very humble person. Some might say he might not have been a shrewd politician! My heartfelt condolences to his family. Om Shanti ,” Kher wrote.
