Mumbai: Alisha Parveen, who played Rahi (aka Aadhya) in Anupama, has been unexpectedly replaced without any prior notice. Speaking to India Forum, Alisha expressed surprise at the sudden decision and addressed speculations about Rupali Ganguly’s alleged involvement in her exit. While Alisha admitted to hearing rumors and fan messages linking Rupali Ganguly and production house DKP (Directors’ Kut Productions) to the decision, she refrained from making direct allegations.
He said, “I have also heard about these rumours… people said that they got it done… maybe yes, maybe no, I don’t know.” May be nothing. Now I don’t know anything so I can’t say anything about it.”
Alisha clarified that she shared a professional and cordial relationship with everyone on the sets, including Rupali Ganguly. She stressed that she did not get involved in backstage politics and preferred to maintain a neutral stance.
In the same interview, he revealed that everything seemed normal until one night when he did not get his usual call time for the next day’s shoot. Initially, she assumed it was her executive producer (EP)’s fault. However, when she enquired, she was told that she was not scheduled to shoot the next day, which seemed suspicious considering her consistent work on the show for the past two and a half months.
Alisha told, “I was the first person to come on the set and the last person to leave. Prem’s sisters and everyone else have come, so I thought it was possible. Just then I get a message from Vivek Sir that you have a meeting with Rajan Sir in the office tomorrow.”
Recalling that meeting, she said that she was happy with the meeting but was surprised when she met the show’s producer Rajan Shahi. “Sir said, ‘This is not good news, we are changing you,'” she shared. I could not understand anything for 15-20 seconds. Sir said, ‘It’s not working, and we don’t have time. We have to replace you immediately.
Alisha revealed that she was not given a chance to explain her stand or understand the reasons behind the decision. He said, “I was neither asked nor told anything, nothing happened. “I was just called to tell you that I have been replaced.”
The sudden replacement has left fans and the actress herself speculating about the reasons behind the decision. However, Alisha chose to focus on her positive experiences with the team rather than dwell on the unconfirmed allegations.
