New Delhi: ahead of AR Murugados, Alexander’s much -awaited, acclaimed director spreads beans on the possible sequel of Ghajini, acclaimed by his reviewers. Filmmakers are for a double treatment as they are waiting for Salman Khan’s teaser.
Speaking to PTI, Murugados said, “There is a possibility for Ghajini 2. There is something in our mind, and we will sit and discuss. If everything goes well, we can do it. I have an original idea, not the whole script. If it is made, it will also be made in both Tamil and Hindi. ,
Indicating a potential Ghazini sequel, the director said, “In Hollywood films, even if the character dies, they will re-form it. Also, there is always a prequel likely. In Ghazini, in Ghajini, we created a character that is a memory loss and a super-rich boy. So, we can play with it. It is an interesting character.”
Talking about Ghajini, the film revolves around Sanjay Singania, depicted by Aamir Khan and Kalpana Shetty, played by Asin. His love story takes a tragic turn when Kalpana’s shocking death leaves Sanjay with a forgetting disease, inspiring him to avenge those responsible for imagination murder. The film was a remake of the director’s 2005 Tamil version, a box-office hit. It gained nationwide popularity after the success of Hindi adaptation of 2008.
Recently, AR Murugados talked about one of the most persecuted questions: Why did Kalpan die without knowing Sachin’s real identity in the film acclaimed by reviewers? Addressing this question, the director said, “If Kalpana came to know about the real identity of Aamir’s character, we will not discuss this scene, it has been 16 years after the release of the film, and yet everyone talks about it, as a writer and director I see as a job that has been done well as a job. ,
Earlier, Ghajini’s producer Allu Arvind expressed interest in creating a sequel with the Bollywood star.
Meanwhile, director AR Murugadoss’s comment has speculated among fans, as the Panth Classic continues to leave a permanent impact since the 2008 release.
Known for many blockbusters, AR Murugados has worked with some of the biggest names in the film industry, with megastar Chiranjeevi in Stalin, Suriya and Aamir Khan (both Tamil and Hindi versions) in Ghajini, Thalapati Vijay in Tappi Vijay, a solder in Holde.
Alexander’s much awaited trailer is set to release today (23 March). The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Satyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Pratic Babbar and Anjini Dhawan in the lead roles.
Alexander is set to hit theaters on March 28.
