AR Murugados says that it was not easy to film Alexander with Salman Khan: ‘He changes on the set at 8 pm’

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s action-pack film Alexander may not have hit the mark at the box office, but its director, AR Murugdos shared a clear insight about the challenges of cooperating with the star. Talking to Valepachu Voice, the filmmaker offered a rear scenery to see his experience on the set.

Shooting challenges with Salman Khan

Murgados revealed that working with Salman came up with his unique obstacles, especially due to the an unconventional program of the actor. “It is not easy to shoot with a star. Even day scenes, we have to shoot at night as it changes on the set only by 8 pm. We are used to shoot right from the early morning itself, but it’s not how things work there,” they explained.

The director also highlighted the impact on members of other artists, especially children: “If there were four children in a scene, we have to shoot with them at 2 o’clock, even if it is a shot to return from school! They will be tired by that time and usually get away from a dozen.”

Alexander returned to Murugados to Hindi cinema after a nine -year gap. His previous Bollywood outing, Akira, 2011 Tamil film Mauna Guru’s remake, Sonakshi Sinha, Anurag Kashyap and Konkona Sen Sharma starred, but left an impression at the box office, earning only ₹ 43.90 crore against a budget of ₹ 30 crore.

In Alexander, Salman Khan played the role of Sanjay “Alexander” Rajkot, a person who was forced to protect three persons from the individual tragedy, whose life was always replaced by his late wife’s actions – put him in the crosshair of a tamasic politician. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Satyaraj, Sharman Joshi and Pratic Babbar. Despite the Star-Stad Cast, Alexander received a mixed-to–negative reviews and fought commercially, gathered of 184.6 crores worldwide against a reported budget of ₹ 200 crores.

Salman Khan’s upcoming project

Looking further, Salman is gearing up for the fight for Apoorva Lakhia, a much awaited war film based on the 2020 Galvan Valley Conflict between India and China. Talking about the physical demands of the project recently in a Mumbai incident, Salman said, “This is physically demanding. Every year, every month, it becomes more and more difficult every day. I will have to give more time now (for training). Earlier, I will do it in one or two weeks; now I am running, kicking, kicking, punching, and all this.
