AR Rahman has just a new ride pair in his garage – and it is electric! Music Mestro recently brought Mahindra XUV 9E home to a bold red finish. The vehicle is already making waves in the EV view of India.
But this is not only about style or stability – R Rahman called the car his “current favorite Indian EV car”. And here is the best part, music legend has actually designed the sound for this car.
The two-time Oscar winner also dropped a photo with his brand-new beast on Instagram, and fan could not stop the gashing.
The caption stated, “My current favorite Indian EV car Mahindra XEV 9E was found. We have prepared a sound for this stylish Indian car .. (This one has also been paid).”
Last year, AR Rahman made headlines for some beyond his music – apart from wife Saira Banu. After 29 years of marriage, the two announced their divorce through their legal teams. They share three children – sons R Amin and daughters Khatija and Rahema Rahman.
Soon after the news became public, AR Rahman took X to share a hearty message.
Describing this moment as “shatter”, the musician talked about the pain of carrying “the weight of the broken heart”. He also thanked friends and well -wishers for respecting his privacy during such individual time.
The X read in the X post, “We expected to reach Grand Thirty, but everything seems, it seems to be an unseen to the end. Even the throne of God can tremble on the weight of the broken hearts. Nevertheless, in this disinterest, we seek meaning, although the pieces cannot find their place again.”

On the professional front, AR Rahman has composed music for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film thug LifeBitter by Kamal Haasan, the film is set to hit theaters on June 5, 2025.
