AR Rahman admitted to the hospital due to chest pain due to dehydration

Oscar winning music composer R Rahman was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on Sunday (March 16, 2025) after complaining of chest pain. The musician is fine now and well.

According to a source close to the family, the 58 -year -old musician was rushed to the hospital after complaining of inconvenience in his chest. The source said that doctors cited dehydration as caused by inconvenience, and that the musician is now doing well.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, assured his official X handle that Mr. Rahman is doing well.

“As soon as I heard the news that Isaipuyal @Arrahman was admitted to the hospital due to sick health, I contacted doctors and inquired about their health! He said that he is fine and will come back home soon! (SIC) “He said.

The news about Shri Rahman’s hospitalization has come a few weeks later of Shri Rahman’s ex -wife, Saira Bhanu, was admitted to the hospital after a medical emergency and had to undergo surgery.

After her recovery, Ms. Saira accepted the unwavering support of her close friends, including Sound designer Razul Pookutty and her wife Shadia, as well as her ex -husband Shri Rahman. He thanked him for his kindness and encouragement, focusing on rapid recovery.

Mr. Rahman and Ms. Saira announced their separation by ending their 29 -year marriage in November 2024, due to “significant emotional stress” in their marriage. The former couple have three children – Khatija Rahman, Rahema Rahman, and R Amin.
