Music composer AR Rahman has announced cooperation with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman for his upcoming AI-based project secret Mountain. Rahman shared the news on social media, posted a picture with Altman and said that he discussed ways to support Indian creators and use artificial intelligence to solve long -term challenges through technology.
The project described as a virtual global band is being developed as a metavors-based music platform. In a caption with the post, Rahman said, “We discussed Secret mountainHow to strengthen and uplift the Indian brain to solve our virtual global bands, and generative challenges and to lead the AI tool to lead ahead. ,
Rahman first introduced the concept of Secret Mountain in a video released in February 2024. Annimated previews featured a fictional character called Luna that travels in a virtual world and interacts with various music individuals prepared from various cultures. The video suggested that the project would focus on using story, music and digital technology to detect cultural connections in an immersive setting.
Speaking first about the use of AI in music, Rahman has said that when artificial intelligence can serve as an early point in the creative process, it cannot change emotional depth or originality that human composer brings. “AI may be an early point,” he said, “but the human element remains irreparable.”
Secret Mountain is expected to bring musicians and bosses from many countries, including regions of India, China, Ireland and Africa. The objective of this initiative is to provide a collaborative and technology-operated environment for global music exchange.
Rahman is also currently working on the score RamayanaAn upcoming film directed by Nitesh Tiwari, with composer Hans Zimmer. More information about Secret Mountain, including a launch timeline, is yet to be confirmed.
