New reports have revealed what has slowed down Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s divorce plans.
A new report claims that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are no longer speaking to each other amid their divorce rumors. TMZ reported on Monday, August 5, that the pair are no longer in touch by phone or in person.
Sources told the outlet that Affleck and Lopez’s current no-contact phase is slowing down their divorce plans. The couple has a pre-nup in place, which will now only require them to split their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion. The home is currently on the market.
Sources have given confidential answers
Sources have often given cryptic answers about why Lopez and Affleck’s marriage is in turmoil. In May, a source told US Weekly, “Problems between them started a few months ago as Jen started increasing work commitments and preparing for her tour. Jen is very focused on work. They are on two completely different pages most of the time.”
An insider previously told People that the two “didn’t celebrate Mother’s Day together,” and another source told US Weekly that finances and parenting “have exacerbated” the problems between them.
An insider told Entertainment Tonight, “Ben thinks Jen has a hard time feeling satisfied and that’s one of the issues they’re facing. Ben is one of the few guys Jen feels comfortable being honest and real with. That’s why Jen loves him but it’s also why she resents him.”
In July, multiple sources told the Daily Mail that the couple’s divorce papers had been “finalized” but “haven’t been submitted yet.” An insider “close” to the couple said, “He finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago but is waiting for the right time to call it quits. At that time, they will release a joint statement explaining how much they love each other and how they fought to make it work but couldn’t. Honestly, in the end they just couldn’t make up. What they had before is gone and they’ve both accepted that.”
