Ariana Grande dedicates song to UFC

Imitating Dion, Grande said, “Football, it’s a game that connects who we are and who we were. That’s why last week, I, Celine Dion, did a promo for Sunday Night Football. But football is not the only sport that connects us to our past.” She explained, imitating the My Heart Will Go On singer, that “there is another sport whose timeless spirit ignites my soul and the bitter memories that reside inside the Octagon,” as it turns out she was talking about the UFC. She then dedicated a theme song to the game called It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.

The lyrics of the theme song highlighted the violent nature of the game as she sang “bones breaking and knees on balls” imitating Dion. She further outlined the physical “memories” that are left with fighters during the game, when she sings, “A woman in a sports bra with the tightest French braid and the flattest face, the one with cauliflower ears and a slanted nose. Angry man…”

The singer mocked UFC commentators including Joe Rogan, describing them as “all bald and in the brightest shirts,” Deadline reports. “That’s the beauty of the UFC,” Grande sang, accompanied by a display of violent images from the matches. Stress, skill…”
