Singer and composer Armaan Malik has had a great year so far, especially with his stage performances with international artists like Eric Nam, Lauv and most recently, Ed Sheeran. And in the coming year, he intends to release his best independent music yet, starting with his upcoming song Tera Main Intezaar.
Malik agrees, “It’s been a great year for me from a live concert perspective because I’ve gotten to do something that very few Indian artistes have gotten to do. So I think the first half of the year has been the best.”
Another special thing for Malik is that after his engagement with Aashna Shroff in October last year, a lot of new things have been seen in his personal life. And there is so much love around him that this love is reflected in his music as well.

“I’m a very romantic person, I think being in love changes everything for me. Especially when you get engaged to your life partner, it’s a huge step in your personal life, it’s bound to have an impact as an artiste,” the singer further explains how being in love reflects in his music.
Malik, who turns 29 today, explains, “When I sing a song today, I feel every word that comes out of my mouth. I don’t think that was true years ago when I wasn’t with Aashna. The words in my songs have taken on a deeper meaning because of my love life and relationships.”
Talking about his birthday plans, Malik reveals how the celebrations are planned very well and divided neatly between friends, family and his fiancée, with whom he will be celebrating his first birthday after engagement. It is not just about the people he loves, but also about the foods he loves.
“I am a huge foodie, so I will definitely go to my favourite restaurants. I have planned Italian for lunch and South Indian for breakfast. Meal planning is more important! I have planned different things with everyone. So one with family, one with friends and one just with Aashna,” he said, adding that this year’s plans are low-key, but next year they will definitely plan bigger.
