Armie Hammer has revealed why he took his truck on one last journey.

Armie Hammer, who has moved back to Los Angeles, has revealed that he has to sell his beloved truck due to rising gas prices. In an Instagram video, Hammer revealed that he has now found a new apartment in Los Angeles, and he is off on one last roadtrip with his beloved truck. The destination is CarMax.

“I’ve been back in L.A. for the last couple of weeks. This is my truck. I bought it as a Christmas gift to myself in 2017, because I’ve owned pickup trucks for a long time, and I love this truck,” the Disgraced actor said of the black vehicle, which can be seen parked in a CarMax parking lot.

The Call Me By Your Name actor said, “This is not a CarMax commercial. It’s because I’m selling my truck.”

He said, “I’ve put about four or five hundred dollars worth of fuel into it since I got back to L.A., and I can’t afford it. I can’t buy fuel anymore.”

‘Celebrating my birthday in Los Angeles with a new car, a new apartment and a new life’

Hammer said he is emotionally attached to the truck because he has “taken it camping and across the country and on long road trips so many times.” He also said it was the same truck he drove his children home from the hospital after they were born.

“But you know what? It’s OK,” Hammer said. “It’s OK. I got a new car. It’s small. It’s a hybrid. I probably put about $10 a month in gas in it and that’s it.”

He said, “So I have to clean up all this stuff, you know, all kinds of mess. But it’s okay.”

Hammer said his decision to sell the truck was tied to his 38th birthday on Wednesday, August 28. “I will be celebrating my birthday in Los Angeles with a new car, a new apartment and a new life,” he said.

The Death on the Nile actor said his kids “are not happy” about selling the truck because they have so many memories attached to it. But Hammer now plans to focus on two things: “Parking will be easier, and gas will be cheaper.”
