Director Ashwath Marimuthu’s blockbuster film, ‘Dragon’, which has the lead role of Pradeep Ranganathan, Kayedu Lohar and Anupama Parmeswaran, has now added another wing to his cap by completing a 50-day dramatic run.
Is it special that the film is continuing its strong dramatic run even after its release on OTT.
It can be remembered that Dragon released on Netflix on 21 March this year, a month after the first hit in theaters on 21 February.
AGS Entertainment, the production firm produced by the film, took her ex -timeline to announce that the film had completed 50 days in theaters.
It said, “A milestone forged in the fire, Arjam enchanted the public – #Dragon #50Daysofaraajagam #Dragon50thDay #50daysofdragon #MegablockbusterDragon celebrating 50 winning days.”
It can be remembered that director Aswath Marimuthu had thanked the audience, the film officially emerged as a blockbuster, making Rs 100 crore within just 10 days of its release.
The film was a certain shot success as it had already recovered the amount that was invested from non-drainage business in it.
Speaking to IANS in an earlier interview before the release of the film, Ashwath Marimuthu said, “We made the film on a budget of Rs 37 crore. Already, we have returned from the satellite, OTT rights and other rights that have already been sold. We have got all the basis.”
Kalpana’s Aghoram, produced by Ganesh of Kalpati and Suresh of Kalpati, have music by Leon James and cinematography by Nichet Bomi.
The editing for the film is done by Pradeep E Ragav and stunts are by Vicky and Dilip Subbarayan. The story for the film is jointly by Ashwath Marimuthu and Pradeep Ranganathan, while the dialogue and screenplay are by Ashwath Marimuthu.
The film is co-directed by Ramesh Narayanan and costumes by Dinesh Manoran and Praveen Raja.
