According to Sacknilk’s report, despite clashing at the box office, both the films had a slow opening. According to early estimates, Do Deewane Sehar Mein grossed ₹1.25 crore in India on its opening day, while Assi grossed around ₹1.00 crore.

Although neither film had a good opening, Do Deewane Sehar Mein recorded slightly better occupancy in theaters than Assi on the first day.

Do Deewane Sahar Mein recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 9.29% on 20 February. Most votes were seen at:

Mumbai: 13%
Pune: 11.25%

In contrast, Anubhav Sinha and Taapsee Pannu’s Assi recorded a modest overall occupancy of 7.38% on its opening day. The film had a weak opening with only 3.88% occupancy in the morning show.
However, it saw a slight increase as the day progressed, recording 7.24% in the afternoon and 6.92% in the evening. There was some respite in the night shows and occupancy eventually reached double digits at 11.48%.
