January 16: Filmmaker Siddharth Anand and his wife Mamta Bhatia-Anand were seen arriving at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai to meet Saif Ali Khan this morning. He was admitted after he was attacked by an intruder at his Bandra residence last night.
An unexpected series of circumstances has shaken the film industry.
According to the police, the first person to encounter the intruder in the house was Saif Ali Khan’s maid.
The situation went out of hand when Saif tried to intervene.
During the fight, Khan suffered injuries and was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai for treatment. He suffered six injuries, one of which was serious near his spinal cord.
His team has now confirmed that he is out of danger as the surgery was successful. The actor’s condition is improving and doctors are closely monitoring his progress.
Siddharth Anand reached the hospital, has worked with Saif hello hello (2005), and Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007). Sidharth is also the producer of the upcoming heist thriller Jewel Thief-The Red Sun ChapterIn which Jaideep Ahlawat will also be seen in an important role along with Saif.
Meanwhile, a message from Khan’s PR team confirmed the incident, calling it an attempted theft.
The message shared earlier read, “An attempt was made at the residence of Mr. Saif Ali Khan. He is currently in the hospital, undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. This is a statement from the police.” It’s a matter.”
Dr. Neeraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said, “Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an unknown person at his home. He has 6 wounds caused by sharp objects like knives etc., out of which 2 wounds are deep and one is on his spinal cord. It’s close. There’s a small wound.” Fragments of the foreign body have been identified close to the spinal cord. Presently his surgery is going on under the leadership of Dr. Nitin Dange, Consultant Neurosurgeon, Dr. Leena Jain, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Nisha Gandhi, Consultant Anaesthesiologist, Dr. Kavita Srinivas. Intensivist, and Dr. Manoj Deshmukh, Consultant Radiologist. The extent of the damage will be known once the surgery is completed.”
After the incident, actress Pooja Bhatt took to her official X handle and urged Mumbai Police to increase security in the area.
He wrote, “Can @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice curb this lawlessness. We need more police presence in Bandra. The city and especially the queen of suburbs has never felt so unsafe before.”
Chef Kunal Kapoor also shared his concern, writing on Instagram, “Shocked to hear about the attack on Saif. Praying for his speedy recovery. #Saif #SaifaliKhan.”

He wrote, “Shocked and saddened to hear about the attack on Saif sir. Wishing and praying for his speedy recovery and good health.”
Many others from the film industry also expressed their concerns.
Mumbai Police Crime Branch has started investigating the case. Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam provided an update on Thursday.
They confirmed that the actor was injured in the altercation between Khan and the intruder, but authorities are continuing their investigation.
On the professional front, Saif Ali Khan recently starred in Devara Part 1A high-octane action thriller that will release in theaters on September 27, 2024.
