Shatonu Maheshwari on the Return of Romance to Bollywood

Love in Vietnam Picked as a deep love story, and Shantinu believes that there was always a place in Hindi cinema in style. “I always believe that love stories will travel and find the audience. This is just that. There was no way from someone who crossed the heart (No one was making it properly, so it touches your heart) and becomes the biggest love story of this generation. I would not say that our film will definitely do this, but I would not say that it cannot even do it. This is something that the audience has to decide. For that, people need to take opportunity. ,

C-drawing and changing habits

After the epidemic, many people believed that romance was no longer commercially viable, as many films in style failed at the box office. Even Shah Rukh Khan returned with large -scale action instead of love stories. But the success of the blockbuster Sayara Changed assumptions.

Shantinu sees it as part of a big innings: “I always believe that people will always see what you want to show. I learned it from Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir. He said, ‘You just need punishment to tell your story.’ It is not that we forgot love stories.

Siarra’s success

Mohit Suri SayaraNewcomers Ahaan Pandey and Avneet Kaur surprised many by earning 570 crores, making it the highest grossing romantic film in Indian cinema. For Shantinu, it was proved that the audience was waiting for fresh love stories.

There is still ‘new’ for films

Despite her years of experience, Shantinu admitted that the big screen comes with her challenges, especially for actors such as her and Avneet who are infection with TV and OTT.

“This is difficult for us. We are here, installed, but still the big screen is very new to the league. We have to reach the people,” they explain. “You need to bring good stories and then reach the audience. Often, a good film is made, but people do not know about it, and then it just dies.”
