Krishna and Basu were passionate young lovers in Mumbai, but a twist of fate lands them in jail. 22 years later, Krishna is completing his jail term but is reluctant to lead a normal life. He reunites with Basu, who is now married to Abhijeet (of course Jimmy Shergill). The film traces their childhood romance and shows how they deal with their feelings in their current situation. Shantanu Maheshwari and Sai Manjrekar play the childhood versions of Krishna and Basu.

This is the third consecutive collaboration between Ajay and Tabu. Drishyam 2 And Innocent. They have shared the screen before Vijaypath (1994), Reality (1995), Takshak (1999), Drishyam (2015), Fitoor (2016), Golmaal Again (2017), and give me love give me love (2019).
