Mumbai: Director Ayan Mukherjee opened his inspiration to direct the sequel to the blockbuster film ‘War’. The first installment of the film was directed by Siddharth Anand.
Yash Raj Films recently released the much awaited teaser of Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR starrer ‘War 2’ in the lead roles.
Taking his Instagram handle, director Ayan Mukherjee described War 2 as a film with “powerful” and “dramatic” story.
“While our film has done a lot to offer our audience with its big screen spectacle energy, today I want to draw attention to the fact that I have been most inspired about War 2. The origin of this film is a very powerful and dramatic story, which has surprised me for the first time that I have heard its script, and I am very thrilled to bring life!”
Opening on his direction trip to War 2, the filmmaker thanked producer Aditya Chopra for guiding him and giving him a chance to work with mega-star pair Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR.
Ayan Mukherjee wrote, “Since this is really the first time I am officially saying anything about the direction of War 2, I just want to love something for the amazing team that I have had the privilege of cooperating on this film.”
He said, “Sri Aditya Chopra’s absolutely amazing leadership – from which I have learned a lot in the last two years – and who gave me this incredible opportunity to cooperate with a one -time pair – Mr. Hrithik Roshan and NTR!”
The producers recently released the teaser for the film. The teaser showed Hrithik repeating Kabir’s character. It begins with a voiceover, stating that he was keeping an eye on Hrithik Roshan’s character, Kabir for some time.
‘Meri Nazar Kab Eor Eor Say Tuz Pe Hai Kabir..India’s best soldier..R & AW ka best agent tu th tu nahi … tu mujhe nahi janta .. Get ready for war’.
The Voice referred to Kabir as the “Best Soldier of India” and “Best Agent of R&D”, but said that he is no longer so.
Kiara Advani creates a stunning appearance in a bikini, and the teaser shows Hrithik and a romantic chemistry between him.
It ends on a dramatic clash between Hrithik and Junior NTR. The film is slapped to release in theaters on 15 August.
