Tripti Dimri, Vicky Kaushal in ‘Bad News’
Trailer Bad News‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ starring Amy Virk alongside Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri released on Friday.
Directed by Anand Tiwari and written by Ishita Moitra and Tarun Dudeja, this comedy focuses on a rare case of heteropaternal superfecundation, a biological anomaly where two separate eggs are fertilised by sperm cells from two different men in the same menstrual cycle. Simply put, this leads to the conception of twins from two different fathers. There are only a handful of instances of heteropaternal superfecundation in the world.
In Bad NewsKaushal and Virk play the two ‘heroes’ who have sex with Dimri’s character. When she gets pregnant but isn’t sure who the father is, the men go for a paternity test. It is then revealed that they are pregnant Both Father of the upcoming child. Concerned about the future of his children, Dimri decided to place a bet and find out who would make a more capable father.
The story stars Neha Dhupia as Dimri’s confused friend.
The film is a follow-up to the 2019 comedy Good NewsStarring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. Produced by Dharma Productions, it focuses on two couples who opt for in vitro fertilisation (IVF), but their sperm samples are switched.
Bad News Will be released in theatres on 19th July.
