The rift between rapper-singer Badshah and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is not hidden from anyone. And it seems that Badshah wants to move on from this rift. In the podcast, Badshah was asked about Honey Singh’s health battle, to which the rapper said that it is really sad that he had to go through all this.
He said, “What Honey Singh went through is unfortunate. It’s like the feeling you get washed out of after scoring a century. I don’t know why it happened. My mental health issues affected me personally, but I didn’t let it affect my professional life. I never took myself seriously and I still don’t know why it happened to me. In today’s age, as an artist who is so big and has so much responsibility, it’s your duty to protect your mental health. It looks glamorous and adds to your story, but the pain is not worth it. The rockstar image with a painful story is great for textbooks. You have to keep your sanity and every move matters when you are playing chess at such a big stage.”
Badshah said that he is very happy to see Honey Singh coming back to the music industry and that he has taken the right path.
He added, “I would like to tell Honey Singh if he is watching this- just make sure you are surrounded by the right people who are genuinely happy for you and care about you, not because you are a brand. Health is the most important thing in life. Spend as much time as possible with your family and loved ones and take care of your mental health. When he came back on stage again, I was most happy for his parents that he has got his blessings back.”
Badshah also gave a message to Honey Singh, in which he told him to always remember why he started making music and how he felt when he created his first song. And keep this feeling alive.
