Rapper Badshah on Saturday apologised to his fans after he was forced to cut short his concert in Dallas, US, due to a “discrepancy” between local promoters and the production company. The rapper is currently on a US and Canada tour in support of his third studio album. one was a kingThe tour, titled Paagal Tour 2024, began in May and will end in August. Badshah posted a statement on his Instagram page and said he was “heartbroken” to have to cut short his performance at the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas.
“Dallas, I’m truly saddened and disappointed by what happened today. You guys are incredible and deserve better.
He said, “I was really looking forward to performing in your city, but due to disagreements between local promoters and the production company I was forced to cut my set short and stop the show mid-way.”
The 38-year-old musician said promoters need to be better equipped, especially for large-format shows, as organising a tour requires a lot of energy and effort.
“It’s not fair to the fans who spend their hard-earned money to buy tickets, and it’s certainly not fair to the entire team that puts their hearts into these trips. We practice for weeks, plan for months and travel tirelessly to bring you the best possible experience.
“Respect is key in the music industry — respect for artists and support crew is just as important as respect for fans,” he said.
Badshah said his management team made “every effort possible” to handle the situation and ensure smooth operations.
“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience, disappointment and trouble caused by this lack of management on the part of the promoter. We will ensure that things are managed better in the future with a more capable promoter team that prioritises a quality experience and understands that music and touring is a serious business.
He concluded his statement by saying, “I promise to be back, and it will be bigger, better, and bolder than ever before! Thank you for always being there and supporting me.”
Under the Paagal Tour, Badshah has so far performed in cities like Washington DC and Houston.
