New Delhi: As the show completed two years since its second season released, Singh shared his memories of working on the project and the overwhelming response he received for his portrayal.
Known for her versatility as an actress, Singh said, “Being a part of Masaba Masaba will always be special for me for many reasons – working with Sonam Nair, whose work I loved even before I auditioned for it, sharing the screen with the best cast and of course, working with Netflix and even Panchami again! It was a widely loved show and the kind of responses I received for my character Ayesha was amazing! It was beyond what I had expected – both from within and outside the industry.”
She explained that playing Ayesha was different from her usual typecast roles and was a welcome challenge. She said, “My character Ayesha is a very calm person, very different from my personality and most importantly, it is very different from the roles I have played before, so I was very relieved that it was so well received.”
The actress also praised the show’s producer Sonam Nair and the talented cast, including Neena Gupta, with whom she shared the screen. “The best part was that I got a chance to meet Neena ji, who is a very cool and vivacious person!”
Singh’s performance in Masaba Masaba not only showcased her diversity as an actress but also added depth to the narrative, which significantly contributed to the series’ success. Recalling her experience, Singh hopes to reprise her role as Ayesha in future seasons, saying “Ayesha would come back next season if I wanted her to!”
