Director Sam Mendes is bringing Beatles on the big screen in an unprecedented way. In Cinemacon in Las Vegas, he revealed the artists and confirmed that all four films – each dedicated to one of the famous band members – would be a hit in theaters in April 2028.

The much awaited project, officially titled Beatles-A four-film cinematic eventPaul Mascal as Paul Mascal, Harris Dicinson will feature Barry Caune as Joseph Quinn and Ringo Star as George Harrison, as John Lennon. Four actors made a surprising appearance in the incident, even bent in the signature style of Fab Four.
Mendes’s ambitious vision feels unlike the biopic of any other music. Instead of condensing the mythological journey of the band in a film, he aims to tell his story from four unique perspectives. “This is a chance to understand them more deeply,” Mendes said, insisting how each beetle had a different experience to shape her rise from Liverpool to global superstardam.
One of the biggest questions around the project is how films will be released. Mendes indicated on the “bipo-prompt dramatic experience”, although it is not clear whether all four films would fall together or follow a staggered release schedule. Despite this, the director is confident that the incident will be a major draw for filmmakers. “We need big cinematic events to get people out of the house,” he told the audience.

This will be the first story film to secure complete music rights for the famous catalogs of Beatles. This means that classics like Let’s go too, yellow SubmarineAnd Strawberry Fields Forever Will be part of films.
