Preparations are in full swing for the wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant.
There is excitement in Mumbai as Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to tie the knot. The Ambani family is planning to host another grand ceremony before the wedding.
As part of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations, Mukesh and Nita Ambani are going to organise a mass wedding for the underprivileged at Swami Vivekananda Vidyamandir in Palghar on July 2. Recently, the wedding invitation went viral, giving a glimpse of the preparations for this high-profile event. The event will take place at the iconic Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
On Monday, Reliance Foundation founder and chairperson Nita Ambani visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple to seek blessings and gave the first wedding invitation to Lord Shiva.
The wedding festivities have been planned very carefully, following traditional Hindu Vedic rituals. The main celebrations will begin on Friday, July 12 with the Shubh Vivaah or wedding ceremony and according to sources, guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the occasion by wearing traditional Indian attire.
The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13 with Shubh Ashirvad.
The final event, the Mangal Utsav or the wedding ceremony, is scheduled for Sunday, July 14. For this grand occasion, guests have been asked to dress in ‘Indian chic’ attire.
Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant, is set to join the Ambani family, marking the union of two prominent industrialist families.
Earlier this year, the couple hosted a series of pre-wedding ceremonies in Jamnagar, which was attended by several stars from across the world. Business leaders, heads of states and celebrities from Hollywood and Bollywood attended the occasion, making it a memorable event. Among the distinguished guests present on the occasion were Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Ivanka Trump.
The highlight of the pre-wedding celebrations was a spectacular performance by pop sensation Rihanna, which was her first performance in India. The theme ‘A Walk on the Wildside’ with ‘Jungle Fever’ was a creative touch that amazed the guests, followed by ‘Mela Rouge’, a celebration of South Asian culture. The three-day grand event was also attended by world-renowned magician David Blaine, who mesmerized the guests with his incredible tricks. Bollywood stars and family members attended the musical performances, which included a special appearance by actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, who enthralled the audience.
