Mumbai: Preparations are in full swing for the wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant.
There is excitement in Mumbai as Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to tie the knot. The Ambani family is planning to host another grand ceremony before the wedding.
As part of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities, Mukesh and Nita Ambani are going to organise a mass marriage for the underprivileged at Swami Vivekananda Vidyamandir in Palghar on July 2.
Recently, the wedding invitation went viral, giving a glimpse of the preparations for this high-profile event. The event will take place at the prestigious Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai.
On Monday, Reliance Foundation founder and chairperson Nita Ambani visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple to seek blessings and gave the first wedding invitation to Lord Shiva.
The wedding celebration is carefully planned according to traditional Hindu Vedic rituals.
The main celebrations will begin on Friday, July 12 with the auspicious wedding ceremony and according to sources, guests are being encouraged to embrace the spirit of the occasion by wearing traditional Indian attire.
The celebrations will continue with Shubh Aashirwad on Saturday, July 13. The final event, Mangal Utsav or wedding ceremony, is scheduled for Sunday, July 14.
Guests have been asked to dress in ‘Indian chic’ attire for this grand occasion.
Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant, is set to join the Ambani family, marking the union of two prominent industrialist families.
Earlier this year, the couple held a series of pre-wedding ceremonies in Jamnagar which was attended by several stars from across the world as guests.
The occasion was attended by business leaders, heads of states and celebrities from Hollywood and Bollywood, making it a memorable event.
Special guests included Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Ivanka Trump.
The highlight of the pre-wedding function was a spectacular performance by pop singer Rihanna, which was her first performance in India.

The three-day extravaganza also featured world-renowned magician David Blaine, who wowed guests with his incredible tricks.
Bollywood stars and family members attended the concert, which also saw a special appearance by actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, enthralling the audience.
