Mumbai: Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt expressed gratitude and respect for the sacrifices of Indian soldiers and their families, especially those mothers raised her.
Alia took to Instagram, where she shared a note. Read this: “The last few nights have felt … separate. There is a certain peace in the air when a nation stops its breath. And in the last few days we have felt that peace. This quiet anxiety.
“This pulse of stress which is around every conversation, behind every news notification, is around every dinner table.”
Alia highlighted the opposite contrast among our safety and the constant danger faced by the soldiers who protected us.
“We have felt the weight of knowing that somewhere, outside the mountains, our soldiers are awake, alert and danger. While most of us are stuck in our homes, are men and women standing in darkness, who are protecting our sleep with our lives. And this reality … it feels that it is not just bravery.”
She said: “This is a sacrifice. And there is a mother behind every uniform who does not sleep either. A mother who knows her child that she is facing one night, but uncertainty. Stress. Stress. The silence that can shatter in a moment.”
The actress reflected by honoring the mothers of soldiers on Mother’s Day, who show immense power and pride in the sacrifice of her children.
“We celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday. And when the flowers were being handed over and the neck was exchanged, I could not help, but could think of the mothers who picked up the heroes and took that quiet pride with just a little more steel in their spine.”
She went to pay tribute to the fallen heroes and hopes that her families will get solitude in the country’s gratitude.
“We mourn the life that are lost, soldiers who will never come home, whose names are now in the soul of this country. Their families can get strength in the gratitude of the nation.”
Alia thanked the protector of the nation.
“So tonight tonight, and every night, we hope for less silence born of stress, and more silence born in peace. And every parent loves praying, praying, shed tears. Because your strength is more and more to this country.
