Ben Affleck is reportedly keeping his distance from Jennifer Lopez because he fears “J.Lo will destroy him in a divorce battle”.
Though he still wears his wedding ring sometimes, sources say it’s because he’s afraid of “taking it off and announcing the separation” and starting a nasty divorce battle with Lopez.
an insider told radaronline“Ben never expected Jennifer to accept his decision to leave her. But he is terrified of how difficult it is for her to leave him, and he lives in fear of how far she will take it!” The couple, who once seemed like a fairytale couple, have been living apart since early May, when Affleck rented a house in Brentwood and moved out of his $60 million Beverly Hills mansion.
Divorce papers are expected to arrive soon, although Lopez was recently spotted in New York City with her manager Benny Medina wearing a wedding ring. Sources believe this is a strategy to keep control over Affleck.

The insider claimed, “He insisted they wear their rings, then he acted angry when she threw out his stuff. No wonder he’s devastated!”
Affleck and Lopez have ‘deep problems’
Another source told People that the Hollywood couple’s marital problems have nothing to do with their celebrity status; there are more “deeper issues.”
“The idea that Ben thinks Jennifer is too famous and didn’t know how the attention on their marriage was going to benefit her is just not true,” the source said, adding, “There are some deeper issues at play.”
Meanwhile, Affleck is focusing on spending time with his three kids, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. According to a tipster, “Ben can’t handle conflict right now, but he would rather argue than be ignored. Everyone knows you can’t get away with messing with J.Lo!”
The Deep Water star is also reportedly having difficulties with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Garner has previously praised Affleck for maintaining a good relationship with his children, but sources say she is tired of helping him sort out his marital issues with Lopez.
