Ben Affleck is believed to be giving Jennifer Lopez some time and space amid separation rumors. The two spent the entire summer away from each other amid speculation of a split. They also spent important holidays apart, including the 4th of July, their wedding anniversary and J.Lo’s birthday.

Ben Affleck is giving space to Jennifer Lopez
As the two are moving on their separate ways, sources revealed that Affleck is trying to give Lopez some time and space. “Ben is showing as much respect to J.Lo as possible right now, since she was the one who left him. But they are moving on with their lives,” the source claimed. The insider also revealed that the actor is willing to wait until Lopez is ready to file for divorce. “Ben has vowed to let her file for divorce in her own time. Until that happens, they will continue to wear their rings,” as reported by OK Magazine.
Affleck recently bought a new home for himself in Los Angeles, as the couple listed their shared Beverly Hills mansion. According to the source, Affleck is happier with his new home than the one he shared with Lopez because it is closer to his taste.
The source said, “He is so happy to have found a new home that is perfect for him and his needs, much better than the house he and J.Lo bought together. He never felt comfortable in that place; it was too big and pretentious for his taste.” The source added that the Batman actor’s new home is “low-key in design” and since it’s on a large piece of land, Affleck will have more privacy when he steps out of his home.

The couple celebrated their birthday in different ways
Affleck recently celebrated his 52nd birthday with his kids at a small party at his rented home, where the On the Floor singer stopped by briefly to congratulate him. Affleck celebrated his birthday in July at a Bridgerton-themed party in the Hamptons and didn’t get a visit from the actor. “Jennifer knew better, but a part of her was still hoping he would come,” a source told PEOPLE. “Some of the guests thought so, too.”
Affleck was busy shooting his upcoming film The Accountant 2 in Los Angeles at the time.
