Bennifer 2.0 real estate turmoil continues, JLo sells NYC penthouse 7 years after it was put on the market

Ever since news broke of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s supposedly inevitable divorce, the Bennifer 2.0 real estate shuffling frenzy has become very real.

Although the couple is still embroiled in marital troubles, Lopez has finally moved on from one aspect of her past. The “Marry Me” star recently sold her Madison Park penthouse in New York City for $23 million, according to city property records released Monday. The final sale came seven years after the singer first put it on the market, The New York Post reports. News of JLo’s duplex sale comes just days after her husband purchased a new $20 million property in Los Angeles while they appeared to have been living separately since May.

Reports of a real estate shuffle between them have further fueled speculation about their marital status. However, the “Gigli” co-stars have not publicly commented on any aspect of the various headlines circulating about them online.

Earlier this month, a source told Us Weekly that Bennifer was “in a hurry to sell” their shared 12-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion. “Ben especially wants to be done with the house. He was never happy there,” the outlet reported.

Since listing in 2017, the home has been on and then off the market. As Gimme Shelter reported at the time, the luxurious property hit the market three years after JLo purchased it for $20.1 million. Her former residence, which overlooks Madison Square Park, is one floor above Chelsea Clinton’s unit. Other nearby views also include the Flatiron Building and the MetLife Clock Tower.

According to The Real Deal, the apartment’s new buyer is an unnamed LLC from West Palm Beach, Florida.

Four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon also previously owned a unit in the building.
