Betting app row: Vijay Dawakonda, Rana Daggubati, Manchu Lakshmi booked between 25 celebs

Betting app row: Vijay Devarakonda, Manchu Lakshmi, Prakash Raj and Rana Daggubati are among many other celebrities, who are facing trouble as the Telangana police have filed an FIR against 25 celebrities and affected against 25 celebrities and affected for allegedly promoting illegal betting app on social media.

On Wednesday, an FIR was lodged at the Miyapur police station in Hyderabad, based on the complaint filed by 32 -year -old businessman PM Fanindra Sarma. The latest complaint against famous celebrities express concerns about supporting gambling apps in a violation of the public gambling Act of 1867.

Sarma claims that during a conversation with the youth in his community on 16 March, he found that many individuals were influenced to invest their money in these gambling apps, who were heavy by social media personalities.

According to the complaint, these celebrities are allegedly accepting a large amount of money to promote various betting platforms, which encourage users to gambling their hard -earned money. Sarma himself was on the verge of investing in one of these platforms, but his family avoided him after warning him about possible financial threats.

The police report listed many celebrities and affected, on which Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Devarakonda, Manchu Lakshmi, Paratha, Nipi Aggarwal, Ananya Nagela, Siri Hanuman, Siri Hanuman, Sumukli, Varshini Sounderjan.

The petition emphasizes that these apps and platforms are causing extensive financial losses, especially between the lower and middle class families, who are being lured in false promises of easy money.

Apps often rely on celebrities, to create credibility, weakened individuals to invest sufficient amounts of money, only to face financial waste. The Telangana Police has accused the accused under several sections of the TS Gaming Act and several sections of the IT Act, including Section 66 (D) of the Information Technology Act, which relates to cheating and identity theft.

The FIR also includes sections that address the promotion of illegal betting activities, with the investigation, now being handled by officer G. Ramesh Naidu. Police Inspector Miyapur of police stations said, “This investigation underlines our commitment to protect the public from harmful gambling and betting platforms, which exploits individuals for financial benefits.”
