New Delhi: The latest season of Stranger Things 5 has surprised fans with an unexpected announcement. The series finale of the iconic sci-fi show will hit the big screen on December 31, 2025 at 5PM PT.
According to India Today, the screenings will take place in over 350 theaters across the US and Canada, continuing till January 1, 2026. This theatrical release will coincide with the global streaming premiere of the final episode on Netflix.

While Netflix initially planned to debut the season 5 finale exclusively on the platform, the streamer has now confirmed a theatrical release on December 31 at 5PM PT, aligning with its global digital premiere. The big screen release will run until January 1, 2026, giving audiences a chance to celebrate the end of the beloved series in a fully immersive cinematic setting.
Stranger Things 5 will release on Netflix in three parts:
November 26, 2025 Volume 1 (Episodes 501-504)
Volume 2 (Episodes 505-507) December 25, 2025
Ending on 31 December 2025 (Episode 508)
