Mumbai: Bigg Boss 19 contestant and actor Abhishek Bajaj was seen sharing a very sour-sweet equation with co-contestant Kunika Sadanand. The 33-year-old actor, who initially fell out with Sadanandan after having several heated exchanges with him, was once again seen in a dirty verbal spat with Sadanand, where both of them crossed all limits of decency. Bajaj was seen age-shaming the 61-year-old veteran actress for which he was called out by host Salman Khan during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Now that Abhishek has been evicted from the house, he had an exclusive conversation with IANS, where he justified his stand and said that he has not shamed Kunika on the basis of age.
“I don’t understand what the fuss is about. She is 65 years old and a grandmother. I respectfully call her ‘Dadi’, which is who she is in real life. I love my grandmother very much.” He further added, “She wants us all to just listen to her, never talk back, never question her. But at the end of the day, she also calls herself independent, strong and a ‘gundi’ (don). I mean, we will definitely express our views respectfully but in our own style. This is not some old age home where we will take care of her.”
For those unaware, in one of the recent Bigg Boss Season 19 Episodes, Contestants Abhishek Bajaj and Kunika Sadanand Seen embroiled in a heated argument. Kunika had refused to perform the household duties assigned by Captain Mridul Tiwari. She was angry with Mridul because she decided to save Abhishek Bajaj and Ashnoor Kaur, despite the fact that they were breaking Bigg Boss house rules – a decision which backfired on Kunika and the rest of the house, causing them to face nomination instead. During the argument, Abhishek intervenes and crosses the line and embarrasses Kunika.

He was seen singing the iconic song, ‘Dadi Amma, Dadi Amma, Maan Jaao’, adding his own taunting twist, and slyly asking Kunika to leave the house. This behavior did not go down well with the audience, who felt that Abhishek’s comments were disrespectful and below decorum. Abhishek’s close friends and co-contestants Gaurav Khanna and Pranit More tried to convince him and even asked him to stop crossing the border, but Abhishek refused to listen.
He argued with Praneet, who was trying to help him understand his mistake. Kunika had earlier supported Ashnoor Kaur and Abhishek in many situations. But after learning that Abhishek was speaking evil about him, he felt hurt and decided to withdraw his support for both Abhishek and Ashnoor.
Also, in another episode, Kunika forgot her boundaries and started calling Abhishek Bajaj a “33-year-old Buddha (old man)”. They also commented on his relationship with Ashnoor Kaur, who was much younger than him, and taunted him further.
