New Delhi: Talented Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey recently finished second runner-up on Bigg Boss OTT 3 and yet won millions of hearts. He is all set to star in JioCinema Premium’s upcoming detective drama series ‘Shekhar Home’. The show, which will be releasing from August 14, is a throwback to a time when technology was rare and human ingenuity was paramount.
The series stars Kay Kay Menon as Shekhar Home, an eccentric but brilliant detective. Shorey plays Jayavrat Sahni, a middle-aged bachelor who unexpectedly becomes Holmes’s ally. Together, they pursue a series of thrilling mysteries across eastern India, tackling cases ranging from blackmail and murder to the supernatural.
In a recent interaction, Ranveer spoke about his experience in the OTT space and how he chooses his roles, he said, “The OTT space is getting stronger, and people are increasingly looking for quality work. As a viewer, you have a variety of genres available to you, from saga and avant-garde to cutting-edge content. When choosing roles, I first look at the script as a reader or viewer. I consider whether the role is important to the plot, as my primary interest is in the story.”
