Actor and producer Ryan Reynolds has asked a court to dismiss Justin Baldony’s legal claims, saying that the actor did not sue him “hurt feelings”.
Reynolds, who are married to Black Lively, were accused in the trial of insulting and abusing Baldoni using the character of “Nispool”. Deadpool and Woolverin To ridicule his “waking feminist” reputation, reported diversity.
In a proposal to dismiss, Rrenald’s lawyers did not dispute that Nispool was based on Baldoni, but he said that Baldoni had shown “thin-chasing resentment” by complaining about it.
Jeevant, who filed a case against Baldoni in December, has accused the director of sexual harassment and vengeance on the 2024 film set.
Baldoni, in turn, sued him, and accused Rrenalds of trying to destroy his career with false allegations. In the trial, Baldoni alleged that Rrenalds allegedly told him alive for “fat shaming”.
He also accused Rrenalds of calling him a “sexual hunter” and pressurizing his agency, WME to leave him as a customer according to the outlet.
In the proposal to dismiss, the lawyers of the Rrenalds argued that if the raynolds actually believe it is not defamation.
“The allegations suggest that Mr. Rrenalds, in fact, perhaps passion, believes that Mr. Baldoni’s behavior is reflective of a ‘hunter’,” said in speed. “(T) He establishes the law that someone is called ‘hunter’ for constitutionally protected opinion … while Shri Baldoni can be called ‘hunter’, those hurt feelings do not give rise to legal claims.”
The proposal argues that the Rrenalds was not making a wrong statement of the fact, but only offered his “negative opinion about the character of Mr. Baldoni”, the Variety said.
“Mr. Reynolds has the first amendment right to hold Mr. Baldoni or any person, which Mr. Rrenalds believes that ‘Deep Disdain’ sexually assaulces his wife,” The motion states.
The complaint said, “It is briefly, a burnt book, which tries to embarrass Mr. Rrenalds, who is a man of the kind of man who is sufficient to listen to the woman in his life and ‘pain’ and really stands with him.”
