One by one, all of the children Pitt co-parents with ex-wife Angelina Jolie are dropping their last names, and now a source close to the actor says he is ‘aware’ and ‘upset’ by the situation. Shiloh, who recently turned 18, is the first of Brad and Angelina Jolie’s brood to officially change it.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are embroiled in a bitter legal battle over a 1,300-acre vineyard in France, with allegations that Pitt physically assaulted Jolie in front of their children. Shiloh decided to drop the word Pitt from her name, soon followed by her 15-year-old sister Vivienne.

“He is gutted and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He has never been happier than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter,” a source told People, describing how the Babylon actor is feeling about his children deciding to drop his name.
Brad Pitt is missing his kids because of the name change
On May 27, media outlets reported that Shiloh, who recently turned 18 and is one of Jolie and Pitt’s three biological children, officially applied to remove her name a week before she turns adult. The other two children are 15-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. The insider stressed that it is not easy for Brad to watch all this, and the distance from his children causes him great ‘pain’. “Being reminded that he lost his children is definitely not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”

‘He’s still happy with Ines but…’
Brad Pitt, 60, is reportedly dating jewelry designer Ines de Ramon, who is half his age. The couple was first linked in 2022. De Ramon, who was previously married to Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley, has been dating Pitt for several months, with some reports suggesting they have moved in together. “Despite his happiness with Ines, this whole situation has been very difficult for the family.” The source stressed that Pitt “still loves all of his children immensely.”

According to the report, Shiloh will now be known as Shiloh Jolie instead of Shiloh Jolie Pitt. The former couple, who are now involved in the ‘War of the Roses’, have six children, including Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, Pax, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15.
The recent name changes have shocked Pitt, with many reporting that he has almost all stopped using her name, at least informally, and introduces himself as Jolie. Zahara was reportedly the first to remove her last name from her name; the issue came to a head last year when she was introduced to her university sorority as Zahara Marley Jolie.
