A scene from Brad Pitt’s upcoming Formula One film
F1 and Apple Original Films have announced that Brad Pitt’s as-yet-untitled Formula One movie will be released globally on June 25 next year, and in North America two days later.

The film is being made in collaboration with the teams and drivers and is directed by Joseph Kosinski. Top Gun: Maverick Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the film grossed $1.49 billion worldwide.
It will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures in theaters and IMAX.
Seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is co-producer, with filming beginning last year and continuing during selected grand prix weekends this season. The production team has created a garage and pitwall stand in the form of a fictional 11th ‘APX GP’ team.

The plot features Pitt, who is 60 in real life, playing a former driver making a comeback to Formula One at APX, alongside Damson Idris, who plays his new teammate.
Other cast members include Academy Award winner Javier Bardem and Best Supporting Actress nominee Kerry Condon.
Formula One said production on the film will be completed by the time of the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December.

Game hopes the film will strengthen the appeal of the Netflix docu-series drive to survive Which has boosted the popularity and growth of Formula One around the world, and particularly in the key American market.
Formula One will now have three races in America in Austin, Miami and Las Vegas.
“We have already seen the great work and impact of the Netflix show and I think this will take it to new heights,” Mercedes driver Hamilton, who is joining Ferrari at the end of the season, said last year.
