Brendan Fraser ( whale fame) is set to play Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D Eisenhower in the upcoming D-Day film Pressure, informed of deadline. The Oscar-winning actor will be joined by Bafta winner Andrew Scott.

Pressure The film is said to be a ticking clock drama about the tense days leading up to the Normandy landings. Scott plays Britain’s chief meteorological officer Jamie Stagg, whose role is to inform Eisenhower of the weather conditions that could make his Normandy invasion a success or a failure, according to reports deadline.
Pressure It will be directed by Anthony Maras (the director of the film) Hotel Mumbai The film will go on floors in September in the UK. The rest of the cast has not been announced yet.
The screenplay is written by David Haig and Maras, based on Haig’s popular play. Army General Eisenhower served as the 34th US President from 1953-61.
“In the 72 hours before D-Day, everything is in place, except for one key element – the British weather. James Stagg, Britain’s chief meteorological officer, is called upon to deliver the most important forecast in history, landing him in a tense standoff with the entire Allied leadership,” the film’s official synopsis reads.

“The wrong conditions could doom the greatest seaborne invasion ever mounted, while any delay risks detection by German intelligence. With only his trusted aide Captain Kay Summersby to rely on, and troubled by a horrific D-Day rehearsal, the final decision rests with Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower. With only hours left, the fate of the war and millions of lives hang in the balance,” the official synopsis reads.
