Streaming platform Sony Liv on Monday released the teaser of its upcoming Telugu suspense thriller series. VrindaStarring Trisha. Written and directed by Surya Manoj Vangala, the show marks Trisha’s OTT debut.
The teaser video begins with a little girl who is about to be burnt on a pole for religious prayers. “Our fight is not against the anger, betrayal and hatred that is inside us; our fight is against the goodness that is inside us, to ensure that it does not perish,” says a voiceover as we see Trisha’s character, a cop, handling a case that hits close to home. The trailer promises a gripping drama about the fight of good against evil.
In a statement, director Surya Vangala said that Vrinda It is a story that will thrill the audience and also force them to reflect on their beliefs. “It is a powerful, female-led narrative, and I am extremely happy to direct the series. Brinda’s character unravels into different facets as the story progresses. Working with Trisha Krishnan is a delight, and through Brinda, we hope to redefine the genre and push the envelope in the Telugu industry,” he added.
Vrinda Actor Indrajeet Sukumaran is also in the lead role in this film. Apart from this, Jaya Prakash, Amani, Ravindra Vijay, Anand Sami and Rakendu Mouli are also included in this film.
Written by Surya and Padmavathi Malladi, the series features music by Sakthikanth Karthik, cinematography by Dinesh K Babu, editing by Anwar Ali and production design by Avinash Kolla.
Produced by Edding Advertising LLP, Vrinda The serial is set to stream on Sony Liv from August 2 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Hindi.
