Beloved K-pop septet BTS will soon turn 11! The infectious anticipation has already hit the boy group’s fans, whose hearts are filled with longing for the members’ reunion next year. Compounding the pain, eldest member Jin’s arrival is scheduled for two weeks later, when he returns from his military station.
Rumors and speculations about the boy group’s reunion and possible musical comeback in 2025 are already circulating in every possible conversation. First, the group revealed their purple-themed annual Fiesta timeline on June 1 (KST), with cryptic markers taking center stage for the first teaser as usual. It’s officially that time of year again!
The week-long calendar is set to reveal the group’s first look to beloved ARMYs on Sunday, June 2. This will be followed by the Bang Bang Con ticket sale on Tuesday, June 4. More visual and musical reveals will be made on June 5 and 6. Finally, the Bang Bang Con live-streaming event will begin on June 8, followed by a brief break until June 13. A cute and short “See You” message welcoming fans on the timeline drives ARMYs’ curiosity to the peak.
Like last year’s announcement, the 2024 Festa announcement is also accompanied by hints and emoticons. Traditionally, gifts for fans include never-before-seen photos, video reveals, and new song releases. In 2023, the Bang Bang Con event launched back-to-back BTS concert livestreams on Weverse and YouTube. The week-long celebration also featured a surprise acoustic live performance video by Jimin. Eventually, the OT7 single Take Two became the most precious gift to be revealed ahead of June 13.

Last year’s festivities lasted well beyond the anniversary date. The group’s commemoration book, BTS: Beyond the Story, was officially announced on June 14. The grand finale of the festa saw Yeouido Park painted purple on June 17.

As per usual tradition, fans are expected to see a cohesive release of a surprise track or two on one of these dates. Once again, despite it being BTS’ birthday, fans have been promised a gift, filled with plenty of goodies day and night. It remains to be seen whether the potential music release will be OT7 or not, as the group’s hiatus will continue until 2025.

In other BTS news, Jin will be relieved of his military duties by June 15, in time for the group’s 11th anniversary, while other formalities will take a few more days. Ahead of his comeback to the K-pop scene, his animated character Wutiao has broken his silence after a long hiatus.
The latest post from the Wutiao account has sparked excitement about the Astronaut singer’s anticipated comeback. With Jin left as the only member of the group who hasn’t made an official debut solo album, fans are wondering if he will reunite with Coldplay for their much-anticipated adventure.
