BTS’s Jin may have urged his company to hold a Festa hug event to wholeheartedly reconnect with his fans to mark the group’s 11th anniversary after being discharged from his military service. However, some ARMYs reportedly crossed the line, resulting in serious unforeseen consequences.
On June 14, Seoul Songpa Police Station confirmed that a complaint was filed through the national petition system addressing a possible violation of the Sexual Violence Penalty Act. The news comes just a day after BTS’ 11th anniversary, which marks the much-anticipated comeback of the group’s oldest member after completing his military duty. Jin held a special in-person event on June 13, and a thousand lucky fans won the golden opportunity to greet or hug him.
Although most attendees at the event respectfully approached Jin to interact with him, a few fans unexpectedly attempted to kiss him.

The police official said that they have received a complaint through the National Petition System requesting to investigate two men who forcefully kissed the ‘Astronaut’ singer on his neck on June 13. The alleged suspects have not been charged yet. The official further said that they will give the green signal for a formal investigation as per the details of the complaint after further review.
This morning, a BTS fan called “A” announced on an online fan community that they have reported a case to the Seoul Songpa Police Station regarding some intruders who were attempting to kiss a BTS member during a hug event. “I reported the violation of Article 11, ‘molestation in a crowded place’ of the Sexual Violence Penalty Act through the national petition system,” they wrote.
Several videos and photos from that day also became a topic of heated discussion on social media, as they showed a panicked Jin unexpectedly moving away from those involved in such aggressive action.
