BTS member Jin has revealed interesting news for all his fans. On September 10, 2024, BTS’ official YouTube channel posted the 5th episode of ‘Run Jin’. Jin was accompanied by YouTuber Kwaktube, MMA fighter Kim Dong Hyun, and TXT member Yeonjun in this episode. The four contestants had to play games together, which increased the excitement of their audience. During one such game, Jin revealed that he has never been asked out by anyone, which shocked all his fans.
What happened during the ‘Run Jin’ episode?
One particular question that caught everyone’s attention was, “Would you rather be asked out in a work group chat or have someone ask you out while performing a traditional mask dance in the middle of a Hongdae street?” MMA fighter Kim Dong Hyun responded, “Doesn’t it feel nice to be asked out?”
Meanwhile, BTS’s Jin responded, “If someone asks you out in a group chat, you can just say no.” Kim Dong Hyun also said, “I think it’s better to ask out in front of people you know than to be asked out in front of strangers.” Jin reflected on Dong Hyun’s answer and jokingly commented, “Would someone actually dance while asking me out? That would be so embarrassing in front of a crowd.”
In the conversation, YouTuber QuackTube said, “I prefer group chats, but I’ve never been asked out before.” This was when Jin confessed, “I’ve never been asked out either.” The news shocked everyone present on the show as well as fans who watched the episode.
Yeonjun and Kim Dong Hyun were completely shocked by Jin’s confession and said in shock, “Stop lying” and “This is amazing.” However, Jin’s answer remained the same. In fact, he repeated himself and said, “I don’t know anyone, so I’ve never been asked out.”

Many fans on social media are shocked by Jin’s confession and many have even claimed that the BTS ARMY (his fans) ask him out on dates all the time. “He’s been asked out on dates 20000 times a day on this app alone,” wrote a fan on Twitter/X. Another user joked, “Can’t he see the whole fandom is asking him out on dates, we literally have proof that he keeps turning down ARMY proposals, there are even thousands of YouTube videos of him turning down marriage proposals… seriously Jin that was a huge lie.”
A disappointed user commented, “The only thought that came to my mind is that he doesn’t count us.” Someone jokingly predicted, “The next BTS concert or Jin’s solo performance in front of ARMY, I won’t even be surprised to see a lot of signs inviting him. LOL.”
