BTS ARMYs can finally breathe a sigh of relief because the legend of the hour is going to be here soon. The K-pop septet’s birthday is just around the corner, but the group’s eldest member has decided to give fans the best gift possible – his much-awaited comeback.
On June 2 (KST), BIGHIT MUSIC revealed more details for the global sensation’s upcoming grand celebration of their 11th debut anniversary with the annual celebration of BTS Festa. The much-awaited announcement finally confirmed that Jin, the first member of the group to begin his mandatory military duties, will officially return for the 2024 BTS Festa and celebrate the special day with fans of the K-pop act.
The boy group’s label revealed that “an in-person event led by BTS member Jin” will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the Jamsil Arena at Jamsil Sports Complex in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

2024 BTS Festa announces Jin’s anticipated reunion with fans
BIGHIT further wrote, “This event was produced to fulfill Jin’s wish to spend meaningful time with ARMY on BTS’ debut day. We invite you to join us as we express our gratitude for your unwavering love for BTS.”
This special BTS Festa event will have two sessions. The opening segment, titled “Jin’s Greetings,” will be a meet-and-greet opportunity with the astronaut singer. 1,000 lucky winners will get the golden opportunity to meet Jin up close. The official announcement poster describes the first session as “light hug time with Jin at the artist’s request.” It is expected to last three hours and will not be streamed online.
After the greeting session, the second event of the day will begin at 8 PM KST and will last for about an hour. The “Message from Jin” session will feature the beloved artist giving various performances for fans. Weverse will stream the second session exclusively for ARMY subscription holders. International fans who won’t have the privilege of attending the special BTS anniversary event celebrating Jin’s grand comeback expressed their heartbroken pleas on X/Twitter soon after the official announcements hit social media. While some emotionally recalled RM’s words about how Jin will “complete this place”, other international fans melted into a proverbial puddle of tears at the thought of not being able to meet their favorite star, who never fails to make their hearts fly to Cloud 9.
One fan commented, “I need extra strength that day. I’m not their strongest soldier.” A similar response came from another BTS ARMY, who wrote, “SK ARMY getting a hug from Seokjin and an event for Festa… International ARMYs always lose.” A third added, “I’ll be so happy for Seokjin and the lucky ARMY, but I’ll also be crying in the corner..😅😢😂😭”
In addition to the additional special event featuring Jin as the main character, Bighit Music also announced details of a ‘Ground Event’ to be held at an area encompassing the futsal field and sports park within the Seoul Sports Complex.
