Timeline of the Kendrick-Drake feud
The feud between rappers Drake and Kendrick has been going on for many years. Initially, when they first came together in 2011, the two had a good bonding. But, nothing has been the same since this collaboration.
In 2013, when Kendrick became a well-known name, he upset several big names in the rap industry, including Drake, over Big Sean’s control. As Billboard reports, Drake responded with a track of his own that same month. The track war continued in 2015-2016, but nothing that caused much controversy.
In October 2023, Drake released a track with J. Cole, to which Kendrick responded with his own surprise drop. Since then the two have been exchanging tracks back and forth, releasing three tracks targeting each other. In the last round, Drake released The Heart Part 6 and Kendrick released Not Like Us. The feud escalated when the latter’s response debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
