Australian actor Nicole Kidman on Sunday vowed to insist on gender equality in cinema at a special party on the banks of the Cannes Film Festival. The actor was awarded the Carring Women in Motion Award at Motion Dinner in Cannes, a part of a program founded by luxury group Kairing in 2015.
“I am just a lawyer and want to continue moving forward with my pledge from 2017, so it is not over,” the actor said.
Kidman, who won the Oscar for his portrayal of Virginia Wolf Honor In 2002, he has worked with several leading male directors of his generation, but he promised to shoot with a female director every 18 months in 2017.
