Veteran actor and filmmaker Robert de Niro was awarded a permanent ovation at the 78th Cannes Film Festival on 13 May, as he received Mansari Palme D’Or for a lifetime of achievement. The award was presented by Lyonardo Dickaprio, de Niro’s long -time associate and friend.
