Veteran actors Sharmila Tagore and Simi Garewal attended the screening of Satyajit Ray Arner Deen Ratri At the Cannes Film Festival, where a new restored 4K version of the film was shown under the Cannes Classics section. Ray’s work for a long time, famous filmmaker Wes Anderson started the screening and played a central role in the six -year long restoration of the film.
Originally released in 1970, Arner Deen Ratri ,Day and nights in the forest) Ray is one of the most acclaimed works. The restoration was presented by the Film Foundation’s World Cinema Project, L’Agin Ritrovata and the film Heritage Foundation with the Film Foundation’s Funding Support of the Golden Globe Foundation.
